depends on the color you put on, don't use an "ash" or green base. of course this is why. clairol nice and easy is one of the products that tends to make hair green most of the time, so watch out. if you're not sure go to a salon, or sally's beauty supply. sally's will help you also!

I recommend going to a salon for this. I did it long ago nd my hair turned green. if you really must do it yourself then lookfor a product that does not have a high ash content. It is the ash i the product that turns your hair green. At the very minimum...consult a hair stylist who knows a lot about hair colour. he/she may be able to recommend an off the shelf product to minimize the green or avoid it altogether. I can tell you this for sure..DO NOT USE MISS CLAIROL NICE AND EASY FOR THIS. this is the worst product ont he market for hair colour and will most definitely turn your hair green as it did for me. My hair stylist told me after my hair was already green that nice and easy is a terrible product and to stay away from it.
