I think Hollywood and the media continue to perpetuate this look to be the standard of American beauty. And still today, women of all races and ethnicities clamor to become this "standard" at the risk of losing their self-respect and identity. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I think everyone including the blonde and blue-eyed is beautiful in some form or fashion.

I don't think that they are the ultimate beauty. No offense if you are but that is a little vain. I think that any American is beautiful no matter what eye color or hair color they have. nah, i think brunettes have taken over because of all the blonde celebrites and their personalitys in comparison to brunettes. and most people have a thing from green eyes and or blue eyes.

I think the American standard of beauty is changing and becoming more diverse. There is a lot of talk in the news about women not being so twiggy and more and instead being a comfortable weight. But I think ultimately, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I don't believe there is or should be an 'ultimate beauty' out there, but since we are all surrounded by uneccessarily vain people, they might feel the need to make one up.

i dont think they do, im english so i wouldn't really know, but in films they betray the beautiful woman being blonde, size 0 and having DD sized bras.

so I guess blond hair/blue eyes are the pin-point of beauty b/c it has been perceived that way for such a long time that people have accepted that fact as the "ultimate" beauty.
