Both are good with highlights...I'm a dark blonde and have tried both...prefer light brown with highlights for myself in the summer (I have fair skin).

Tough question they're both great colors. It all depends on your skin tone. I personally like the light brown color but for me it's a headache because my hair never stays that color for too long. It usually starts to lighten again within a month or two.

If your not going to be blonde blonde then do brown I don't really like the very dark blonde or really light brown i like blonde or medium brown (note: I don't like mousy, but medium which is a smidge darker). or dark brown like a chocolate color.
