well only straighten the roots then put it up in a pony tail so that way you would only have curly hair in it pony tail.it would look cute or you could just gel your hair down. just don't use extra stregth gel it will flake up to much

i have wavy hair too. get a sprayer bottle and put a little bit of conditioner at the end of it. then fill it with water. shake it. then spray it in your hair. it will make it damp ! then brush it and put it up. the dampness will go away after about a half hour or even a few minutes. good luck !
